The kick off meeting for the "14th Five Year Plan" National Key R&D Project "Efficient Extraction and Green Processing Technology of Lithium Magnesium Resources in Salt Lakes" was successfully held in Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology on February 26th, 2023. Professor Wang Lei, as the leader of project, is hosting the project,with Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology as a leading party. The Meeting was held in the ways of online and offline with the attendance of participants of the project including Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry Chinese Academy of Science, Hefei Institute of Physical Science , Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of Science and Technology of China, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, Bureau of Geological Exploration & Development of Qinghai Province, Shaanxi Coal Geology Group Co., Ltd., Xi’an Gold-In Membrane Environmental Protection Technology Co.,Ltd, and Xiamen Starmen Scitechnology Co.,Ltd.
Qin Yuan, Deputy Director of the Resources Department of the Administrative Center for China’s Agenda 21, the project management party, and Yuan Yan, the project director; Sun Guoquan, Deputy General Manager of the Sinosteel Maanshan General Institute Of Mining Research, He Fayu, Head of the Science and Technology Management Department of China Minmetals Group; Hou Li'an, academician of the Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the project consultant; Duo Ji, academician of the Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Tang Huiping, professor of Zhejiang University City College; Wang Haihui, professor of Tsinghua University Qiu Jieshan, professor of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Li Jiansheng, Professor of Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Liu Guangli, professor of Sun Yat-sen University, Wu Yiping, professor of Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Chen Xiaoming, director of Beijing Yuehua Group Accounting Firm attended the meeting and gave guidance. Wang Qiang, Deputy Director of Social Development Science and Technology Department of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Lei Peng, Vice President of Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, Liu Yanfeng, Director of Science and Technology Department, Qu Wei, Deputy Director of Science and Technology Department, and Lu Jinsuo, Dean of School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering attended the meeting. More than 60 people, including project leader, project leader, sub project leader and project backbone, attended the meeting, which was presided over by Liu Yanfeng, director of the science and technology department of Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology.
Lei Peng introduced the development history of the university and the major achievements made in recent years, and congratulated Wang Lei's team on their achievements in scientific research and industrialization. Wang Qiang introduced the overall situation of Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Program and affirmed the achievements of our school in the field of lithium extraction from salt lakes. Qin Yuan introduced the basic situation of the special project and emphasized the project process management regulations and requirements.
The project leader Wang Lei reported on the basic situation and implementation plan of the project. The project leader reported the research background, research content, Technology roadmap, research scheme and expected results of each project. The attending experts conducted thorough discussions and inquiries, affirmed the project and its implementation plan, and proposed valuable suggestions.
The research of this project brings together the advantageous parties in this field. The research results will solve the bottleneck of efficient and comprehensive utilization of lithium and magnesium resources in salt lakes in China, will improve the technology and equipment level in developing lithium and magnesium resources in China, and will drive the development of related industrial clusters, which has a great strategic significance to ensure the rapid development of China's new energy industry.
